The Jim DeLapa Collegiate, hosted by Central Michigan at Point O’Woods Golf & Country Club, brought together a strong Division I field on one of Michigan’s most demanding layouts. Representing GCU, Matt Diehl and Nixon Lauritzen both finished inside the top twenty, showcasing consistency, resilience, and clutch play down the stretch.

Matt Diehl – 14th Place at -1
Diehl entered the final round tied for fifth and in position to contend. While the closing day didn’t go as low as earlier rounds, he steadied himself to post a four-over 74 and finish the week at one under par, good for fourteenth place.
His strong opening 36 holes, highlighted by a back-nine surge in Round 2, kept him near the top of the leaderboard.
On a course that punished mistakes, finishing under par for the week marked another step forward in his development as a reliable top-20 threat.
Nixon Lauritzen – 19th Place at Even Par
Lauritzen saved his best golf for the final day. After entering the round at three over, he delivered a brilliant three-under 67 to climb the leaderboard and close at even par, finishing in nineteenth place.

His round included four birdies and just a single bogey, a balanced and confident performance on a challenging course.
The bounce-back round demonstrated his ability to respond under pressure and turn momentum in his favor.
