William H. Tucker Invitational
Albuquerque, NM - A strong showing for our athletes this weekend at the William H. Tucker Invitational, hosted at the University of New Mexico’s Championship Course.
Matt Diehl (GCU) led the way with a stellar performance, finishing 2nd at -12, just one shot back of the medalist. Matt’s final round 68 included five birdies, three of them over his last four holes, capping off a consistent week.
Zack Tarter (Fresno State) continued his momentum, climbing 11 spots on the final day with a 3-under round to finish T7 at -6.
Chris Bettencourt (Fresno State) and James Watney (Fresno State) battled a tough setup, both closing at +8.
Nixon Lauritzen (GCU) rallied in the final round with a bogey-free back stretch and three birdies, jumping 20 spots to finish T28 at -1.
A great early-season test and plenty of positives to build on for our ITS athletes.
