Nixon Lauritzen

As a freshman in 2024–25, Nixon made an immediate impact for Grand Canyon University, competing in 33 rounds with a scoring average of 74.7. He recorded five top-10 finishes, highlighted by a third-place showing at the Southern Dunes Invitational where he fired a season-low 63 in his collegiate debut — a round that tied the lowest single round in GCU program history. Nixon also tied for sixth at both the William H. Tucker Invitational and the GCU Invitational, and led the Lopes with a ninth-place finish at the WAC Championship in Payson, Arizona. His consistent play throughout the season earned him All-WAC First Team honors as well as WAC Golfer of the Month in September 2024.
